Ukrzaliznytsia has been working like a "second army" since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine. They help to evacuate people who are forced to leave their homes. On evacuation trains, train attendants collect information about temporarily displaced Ukrainians and pass the information on to the center for accommodating evacuees.
About the project
Volunteering development of a personal account for train attendants that help with accommodation and receiving humanitarian aid in new places for evacuated Ukrainians.
- get rid of Excel table, because it is a long and not reliable process for sharing information,
- find a solution for train attendants which collect information about temporarily displaced Ukrainians when the train running,
- ensure safe pass of the information to the center for accommodating evacuees,
- simplify the work of train attendants of evacuation trains of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Processing of the personal account
Every request will be processed with a help of a web portal designed by Vintage Web Production and the functionality of a personal account for train attendants that Web-Systems Solutions’ team created. The system combines the work of conductors, call center workers and volunteers. During the evacuation train run, Ukrainians will be able to find a roof over their head.
We developed a system-based passenger registration using a simple step-by-step form (it includes all details and personal accommodating needs). Now, this process happens with the help of the personal account of the Ukrzaliznytsia workers on the informational web portal of this project. All data is transmitted and synchronized between regional call centers and volunteers, so every evacuated Ukrainian will have an accommodation and helping hand at the place of arrival.
