Migrating from BigCommerce to
Shopify
We move your store from BigCommerce to Shopify while protecting your products, customers and search visibility. We start with a URL audit, build a 301 redirect map and launch only after full testing.
What we migrate from BigCommerce
Moving from another platform? See also our Magento migration.
Products and media
Products, variants, images, SEO titles and descriptions, metafields.
Customers
Contacts, addresses and marketing consent. Passwords do not transfer, see below.
Order history
Moved with specialised tools after customers, so orders attach to their profiles.
Pages and blog
Content and service pages are moved fully or partly, depending on the site structure.
Redirects
We export existing 301 redirects from BigCommerce and fold them into the new map without chains.
Reviews and loyalty
Reviews, wishlists and loyalty points move through third-party Shopify apps.
What does not migrate automatically
Plan for these before launch, not after.
Customer passwords
Passwords are stored encrypted and cannot be exported. Customers reset them after launch, so tell them in advance.
Apps and integrations
Apps, webhooks and connections do not transfer. We list them, pick Shopify equivalents and set them up by hand.
Shipping and taxes
Shipping and tax rules are configured again in Shopify.
BigCommerce vs Shopify
The entry plans of both platforms now cost the same, so compare more than the subscription: payment fees and customisation costs matter too. US prices in dollars, as of October 2026.

How we protect your SEO
More on store optimisation on our Shopify SEO page.
1:1 redirects
Each old product points to its matching product, each category to a collection. We do not redirect everything to the homepage, which Google may treat as a soft 404.
Metadata and headings
We carry over titles, descriptions and H1s, and check the Shopify theme keeps your keywords.
No redirect chains
Existing BigCommerce redirects go straight to the final URL, not through intermediate ones.
Post-launch monitoring
Sitemap in Search Console, coverage, 404s and top organic pages: we check daily in the first weeks.
Our 6-step migration process
From audit to post-launch checks.
We crawl the old site and collect every URL, export Search Console data, list apps and integrations, and back up products, customers and orders.

BigCommerce to Shopify migration FAQ
There is always some risk, but a correct 301 redirect map, carried-over metadata and post-launch monitoring reduce it. Nobody can guarantee unchanged rankings, so we compare traffic before and after.
