Willow Bathroom Vanity
An American premium sanitary ware brand specializing in designer bathroom solutions.
About the project
A migration from WooCommerce to Shopify that required more than just data transfer. It demanded a complete rebuild of product display logic. This was achieved through a tight partnership between our development team and SEO strategists from uaateam.agency.
Project tasks
The WooCommerce-based project needed to transform from a basic online store into a sophisticated digital sales tool. The main challenge was the architectural complexity of the catalog (4,000+ pages) with dozens of interdependent configurations (bathtubs, faucets, countertops), which created technical barriers for customers and limited business scaling.
Timeline: ~1.5 months (late August — September 4, 2025), including preparation, development, testing, and post-migration analysis.
Stabilizing the technical foundation and back-end
Code “Rescue Operation”: We fully restored the master theme and custom functionality, avoiding the loss of previous developments and stabilizing the system before migration.
Infrastructure Migration with SEO Weight Preservation: We implemented the move to the main domain with a complex 301-redirect system (e.g., from /shop/ to /collections/shop). The redirect map was developed in close coordination with the SEO team: every old URL was mapped semantically rather than mechanically — product to product, product to category upon deletion, and outdated URLs to relevant sections. This preserved the site’s SEO weight and cleaned the URLs of technical clutter.
Cybersecurity: We implemented access restrictions by country via CloudFlare, which cut off non-target bot traffic, reduced server load, and increased speed for real customers.
UX/UI transformation and mobile-first
Trust tools and Core Web Vitals
- CLS (Visual Stability): Added width and height attributes to images, aligned card heights, and set up an adaptive grid to eliminate “content jumps” during loading.
- LCP/FCP (Rendering Speed): Optimized the product gallery, replaced standard navigation dots with photo previews, and removed unnecessary “Quick Add” code to reduce the DOM tree size.
- Showroom and Hover Effects: Created a “Showroom” page to highlight the brand’s scale and implemented dynamic product photo changes upon color selection.
Premium product card design
Updated “Shop by colors” blocks, aligned product card heights, and fixed visual bugs in the cart—collectively, these changes lowered the bounce rate and increased depth of view.
Complex functional architecture and overcoming Shopify limits
Shopify’s standard limit of 100 variants per product didn’t meet WBV’s needs, as each item has dozens of interdependent configurations. To bypass this, we moved specification outputs to metafields. This allowed us to separate products by color without losing SEO connections and ensured customers only see compatible components. Custom “Countertop Options” and “Handle Configuration” blocks show only relevant combinations.
- Labeling system (“Exclusive”, “New”).
- Dynamic price updates when changing variants.
- Ability to download technical PDF drawings directly from product cards.
SEO and automation (in partnership with UAATEAM)
Preserving SEO Weight During Migration: SEO partners UAATEAM prepared a detailed technical task for developers before the migration started—covering the new site structure, URL requirements, preservation of SEO elements, and the redirect map. Throughout the process, the teams were in constant communication: the SEO team verified redirect implementation and monitored the correctness of the structural realization.
Content Automation and Rich Snippets:
- Implemented automatic generation of Meta Descriptions and ALT tags to scale hundreds of products and dominate Google Images.
- Deployed Schema.org micromarkup for product variants and FAQ blocks—improving the site’s search appearance and CTR.
- Set up dynamic H1 headers including product color names to capture low-frequency search queries.
Solutions for optimization and scaling the premium platform for Willow Bathroom Vanity
- +52.43% growth in organic traffic.
- +88% increase in total brand revenue.
- 26 key queries reached the Top 10 of Google USA.
- 9,000% — average ROAS of the strategy.
- “Single vanity” cluster and commercial “double vanity” queries entered the Top 10, some even reaching the Top 5.
- Core Web Vitals: The systemic speed issues that existed on WordPress were completely eliminated after the move.
Even with strict platform limitations and complex incoming content, a tandem of developers and SEO specialists can create an architecturally perfect project ready for leadership in the premium retail niche. This project is a clear example of how a properly built partnership between a technical team and a marketing strategy turns a site migration from a risk into a business growth point.
