About the project
Development of an e-commerce store on the Shopify platform for the U.S. market.
Tasks
- Launch the Shopify store tailored for the American market.
- Add a sizing chart similar to the Ukrainian online store and customize product pages by color.
- Optimize key pages: header, collections, “Shop All,” and product cards, plus configure the “Sale” section with scrolling functionality.
- Integrate an app for Instagram.
- Implement convenient payment methods, “Buy Now” functionality, subscription options, a sales timer, and currency conversion.
- Improve sorting, filtering, reviews, photo scrolling, and cross-selling.
- Integrate with payment and delivery systems (Shopify Payments, Stripe, DHL), and add a product photo slider with “New,” “Best,” and “Sale” labels.
Challenges
During development, we faced with several challenges.
- First, customizing the template required numerous adjustments to spacing and design.
- Second, the logic for displaying products needed to be changed to show only one color in the collection, with the ability to switch colors when hovering.
- Third, integration with platforms like TikTok and Google required careful configuration.
Solutions
To overcome these challenges, we adapted the Shopify template to meet SOLMAR’s needs, creating a user-friendly interface. Specifically, we set up color display options to simplify user interaction with the online store. Also, we configured integration with TikTok, and Google for marketing activities.
Adjusting product and color display logic
We implemented a new approach to product display, showcasing only the primary color in collections. When hovering over other colors, the product card changes, making the online store more interactive. This format helps maintain a clean page layout, simplifies color selection for shoppers, and draws attention to key products.
Multilingual optimization
We adapted the online store for the U.S. market to make it more user-friendly for local customers. The store is now fully in English, and prices are displayed in U.S. dollars, making the shopping experience smoother for American consumers.
Integration with 1C and additional platforms (TikTok, Google)
We implemented integration with platforms like TikTok and Google to streamline data and sales management. This integration ensures seamless synchronization of product, order, and customer information, allowing for quick response to changes. Connecting to TikTok helps the brand attract new customers via social media, while Google integration improves the store’s visibility. This expands sales channels and increases the store’s efficiency.
Optimization of photo scrolling, reviews, and cross-selling
We enhanced scrolling for product photos, reviews, and cross-selling to make it easier for users to browse information. Now, photos scroll smoothly, and reviews and additional offers are displayed in a user-friendly format. This helps shoppers find the necessary information faster, makes the buying process more comfortable, and increases the chances of them noticing other products.
Thanks to the Shopify theme adaptation and a user-friendly interface, the SOLMAR online store has become easier to use for international customers. The SOLMAR brand has successfully established itself in the new market and is actively expanding its presence in the U.S.
