About the project

A website was built from scratch, including design, layout, and integration with OpenCart. The primary goal was to showcase the company’s products and brands while allowing for future development into a full-fledged online store.

Ingredient-based product search

Companies selling chemical-based products must provide transparent information about their composition. To meet this requirement, the website includes an ingredient-based product search function. Users can filter products by:

  • Country or region
  • Brand name
  • Product type

This feature enables quick and easy access to relevant products while ensuring transparency.

Brand-based website structure

For better user experience, the website is structured around brands rather than traditional product categories. Each brand has a dedicated page, allowing for a detailed product presentation and intuitive navigation. This approach simplifies product searches and enhances the usability of the online store.

Design and functionality

A key highlight of the project is the unconventional hero section on the homepage, designed to immediately capture visitors’ attention. We developed a standardized system of color-coded blocks to present ingredients, products, and brands in a visually cohesive way. The ingredient search functionality includes image integration for products and brands, improving both informativeness and usability.

Multi-language support

The website supports two languages: English and Ukrainian. This ensures accessibility for users from different regions, allowing them to browse and search for products in their preferred language. Multi-language functionality expands the store’s target audience and aligns with T&T Brands’ international presence.

The main challenge was building an online store without traditional product categories—each brand required a dedicated page instead. Additionally, implementing a multi-language ingredient search was crucial for compliance with chemical product regulations. At the same time, the website had to maintain simplicity and ease of navigation.
