About the project

This project involves creating an e-commerce store for Autocolor based on CMS OpenCart, providing convenient access to body repair products. The main goal is to enhance online sales and optimize order management.

Tasks

  1. Development of an online store based on CMS OpenCartwith a unique design;
  2. Integration with Odoo ERP to streamline the order management process;
  3. Data synchronization with 1C accounting software;
  4. Implementation of Checkbox service for fiscalization of paid orders;
  5. Creation of a brands page with alphabetical sorting and detailed information about each brand;
  6. Development of a dedicated section for the Autocolor Academy and a B2B section for partner brands.

Challenges

Integrating with 1C was complex, as client-side changes were made during development, requiring quick adaptation and flexible configuration.

Product details had to be transferred via a separate file from the site’s admin panel, as this was not feasible via API. To achieve this, we implemented a data feed upload option, simplifying the process for the client.

The Checkbox integration required additional settings to enable fiscalization of paid orders.

Integration of order dispatch with Odoo ERP

We implemented order management integration with the Odoo CRM, enabling automatic data exchange between Autocolor’s online store and its accounting system. This streamlined the order processing workflow and reduced errors by facilitating status updates and product availability information. As a result, the client benefits from more efficient and simplified business process management across the online store, accounting system, and ERP.

Integration with 1C accounting system

We configured 1C integration for automatic data exchange on product catalog, item attributes, orders, and clients. This solution enables rapid information updates on the website, maintaining the relevance of stock and product assortment. Also, we linked the 1C accounting system with CRM to synchronize data on products, clients, and orders, which automates information updates across both systems, facilitating order processing and client interactions.

Autocolor Academy

While Autocolor’s primary focus is on selling body repair products, the company also offers additional services. They provide individual training to help clients improve their knowledge of autocolor technologies, become familiar with market products, and choose the best materials for their services. For this purpose, we developed a dedicated section for the Autocolor Academy, where users can view training details and easily sign up for courses. The page includes sections describing both theoretical and practical aspects of the training. The application form is integrated with the CRM system for prompt request handling by managers, extending the website’s functionality beyond standard online shopping.

B2B section for brands

Another key task was to create a dedicated section for Autocolor’s partner brands in the autocolor industry. We developed a space where Autocolor can:

  • add general information about each partner brand, including logos, website links, and descriptions
  • each brand has its own page with more detailed information, as Autocolor partners with brands like 3M, CarSystem, and KAPCI, which have unique histories and serve manufacturers such as Seat, Volkswagen, Porsche, and others.

Adaptive UI/UX design

A must-have for any website, or especially an online store, is full adaptability for mobile devices, because according to statistics, 70-80% of users make purchases through mobile devices. We developed a fully responsive design for our client, which is intuitive for the end-user to navigate the online stire, view the desired products and make a purchases.
